If you’re familiar with the social media forum, you’ll know that it loves to throw up loads of ‘can you see it’ photos.
From finding a hidden snake in a forest to spotting a ‘creepy face’ in a group photo, there’s all sorts of mad images out there.
But it seems this particular brainteaser in Reddit’s ‘FindTheSniper’ thread is proving to be a lot tougher than the regular ones.
“Find the spaniel,” is the caption for the image, showing a dog hidden among heavy debris in a forest or park of some kind.
Let’s see if you can find it below:
This one is not easy (Reddit/FindTheSniper)
It’ll come as no surprise that the user who submitted the photo gave it a ‘difficult’ rating and people have seriously struggled with it.
“Most folks centre their subject in the frame so easiest to start in the centre and spread from there,” one person suggested.
As another said: “Hahahaha. I was cursing out loud that there wasn’t a spaniel in this photo and that OP was f’n with us.
“I eventually gave up and looked at the comments for a hint.
“I now can’t UNSEE the spaniel.
“Good one and in 100 percent spirit of this sub. Well done!”
While a third penned: “He’s a sneaky little devil it took me a little while.”
Still no luck?
Well, if you keep your eyes in the centre on the photo and slowly look left, you’ll notice the brown-coloured pooch hiding in the branches.
As one of the users said, once you see it, you simply can’t unsee it.
Now, if you want a slightly easier one then take a look at this white dog, pictured in and among snow-covered trees.
At first glance, it looks almost impossible to find the white-coloured dog, camouflaged against the white backdrop.
To make things even harder, the user has challenged people to locate the pooch within 20 seconds or under.

Struggling? Well here’s one hint for you.
Although the dog’s white fur is blended in with the snow, its ears, nose and eyes are what you need to be looking out for.
If you’re still having a bit of trouble, take a peak at the centre of the photo.
Yep, you can see its little ears perking up as it’s frolicking through the forest.

If you’re sniping is any good on CoD then you might want to test it out in the real underground world of Reddit.
One user has taken to the r/FindTheSniper feed to share an optical illusion of a winter wonderland.
More specifically, there is a white dog pictured in and amongst snow-covered trees in a forest, and the Reddit user has challenged people to see if they can spot it.
With heavy snowfall on first glance, it looks almost impossible to find the white-coloured dog, camouflaged against the white backdrop.
And to make things harder, the user has challenged people to locate the pooch within 20 seconds or under.
If you’re feeling up for it, take a look below:

Now, if that was too easy for you, here’s a slightly more challenging one.
In the same ‘FindTheSniper’ thread, another user has shared an image of a snake camouflaged in the woods.
“Find the copperhead,” reads the caption, as the user explains: “Tossed this little guy out into the woods after I stumbled on him during some landscaping at the house.
“PSA: don’t kill copperheads, they’re just vibing. Politely relocate them; they appreciate not being turned into ‘snake bites.'”
Go on then, let’s see if you can find it:
This one is a bit more challenging. (Reddit)
A copperhead is a small venomous snake found in North America, it’s especially prominent in wooded areas.
It’s got a bit of a killer look to it with reddish-brown, round-shaped patterns running down its back.
Many were struggling to find the ol’ snake, with one person commenting: “Oh! There it– nope. Oh! It’s th– nope. Honestly it’s crazy how effective camouflage is.”
Meanwhile, an experienced ‘snake sniper’ was able to locate the animal, revealing that the copperhead is in the ‘bottom left-hand corner’.
“But you gotta keep your eyes sharp! He’s almost completely hidden!” they explained.
Users also noted that you do need to zoom in to the photo to see it, writing: “Thank you ZOOM, if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to spot the snake. My actual eyes; take note.”

The closest thing any of us have come to being ‘a sniper’ is fighting zombies on CoD.
But it seems our ability to spot a target in a crowded area is fully being put to the test in this one photo.
Out of nowhere, this image has emerged on Reddit and people are stumped by the brainteaser posted in the ‘FindTheSniper’ thread.
“Find the copperhead,” reads the caption, as the user explains: “Tossed this little guy out into the woods after I stumbled on him during some landscaping at the house.

While you’re still looking for the snake, we might as well explain what a copperhead is for anyone wondering.
A copperhead is a small venomous snake found in North America, it’s especially prominent in wooded areas.
It’s got a bit of a killer look to it with reddish-brown, round-shaped patterns running down its back.
But the good news is that its venom isn’t usually deadly to humans, though the bad news is that it can still be super painful.
Overall, copperheads are pretty chilled snakes and they won’t go after you, unless you step on it and p*ss it off.
As you can tell from the image above, they like to blend in with the leaves and are very hard to spot.
Sadly, many were struggling to find the ol’ snake, with one person commenting: “Oh! There it– nope. Oh! It’s th– nope. Honestly it’s crazy how effective camouflage is.

“Until I joined this sub I’d only ever seen pictures of snakes in books surrounded by a stark white background but seeing it really work.
“Well it just makes me never want to go in the woods again.”
While an experienced ‘snake sniper’ also commented: “Living in the south my whole life… super easy. Lol but they’re great at camouflaging,” as another added: “I’ve become pretty good at spotting them myself; he just took me by surprise. Great eye!”
Without further ado, one eagle-eyed person revealed that the copperhead is in the ‘bottom left-hand corner’.
“But you gotta keep your eyes sharp! He’s almost completely hidden!” they explained.
Users noted that you do need to zoom in to the photo to see it, writing: “Thank you ZOOM, if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to spot the snake. My actual eyes; take note.”

The internet has come up with another puzzling challenge to test if you have the eyesight and target identification necessary to spot certain dangers.
The good folks of the Reddit group r/FindtheSniper have posted two pictures of nature with sneaky serpents hidden somewhere within and if you can actually spot them, then well done you.
I’ll be honest with you dear reader, I do not possess the ‘eyes of a sniper’ so much as the eyes of someone who wears contact lenses and I was hopeless at spotting the snakes here.
If these little serpents were venomous and in any way aggressive, I’d have been absolutely screwed.
On the plus side, I don’t spend much of my time poking through potentially serpent-infested undergrowth so this might not be a skill I need.
Can you spot them?
I hope you did better than me here. (Reddit/u/Prize-Technology-811)
There’s been plenty of these challenges posted online for people to test their vision on, but this one might take the proverbial cake for difficulty.
I couldn’t spot the snakes in either picture and other folks giving it a go also struggled.
One said they ‘must be blind’ because they were just not seeing either snake, while another protested that they ‘can’t see s**t’.
“Lord never put me in this situation cause I would be dead,” someone else wrote, but the person who posted the pictures reassured them that these snakes weren’t the kind that could kill you.
A helpful commenter pointed out that the serpent in the first image was a Garter Snake, which is one of the few types of snakes which can be both venomous and poisonous.
However, the poison comes from their diet of eating poisonous creatures and the harm the snakes themselves pose to humans is negligible.
I was still baffled by this one, maybe you’d do better than me. (Reddit/u/Prize-Technology-811)
But if you are struggling, one commenter said that the first snake can be found ‘on the right side of the photo, midway between the top and bottom’, while the second one’s head is ‘sticking out under the upper left clump of brown mushrooms’.
If you can crack these puzzling perspectives, then there are other ‘eyes of a sniper’ challenges for you to try.
There’s a picture of a freezing cold scene with a dog standing somewhere in it where the chilly canine is all but invisible.
Other challenges involve you trying to spot moths and various different kinds of snakes that blend in well with the background.
As you can imagine, there are some ‘eyes of a sniper’ challenges which actually involve you trying to spot a sniper.
Even if you can’t see them they can definitely still see you and blast a chunk out of you, so here’s hoping you never find yourself on a battlefield with absolutely no idea where an enemy is.

A good optical illusion can really mess with your head, deceiving your eyes and misleading your brain.
These illusions exploit how the brain processes colour, light and patterns to trick us into seeing an image that differs from what’s actually in front of us.
One image shared to Reddit’s r/FindtheSniper thread has left people completely baffled.
Below you’ll find a picture of a wall, but camouflaged on it is a moth waiting to be found. See how long it takes you to spot it.

The image was shared alongside the caption: “Moth landed on my wall and vanished. Can you find the moth?”
But don’t worry if you haven’t. This one left a lot of Redditor’s scratching their heads too.
One user wrote: “That’s a wall!?” while another said: “I’m wigging out man.”
But, another user who found the insect commented: “This one took me a little bit, this moth blended in really well with the wall, that’s some great camouflage. This is a really good picture. I had fun finding the moth.”
And the original posted admitted that they ‘panicked’ when it disappeared into the pebbledash.
“As somebody who is uncomfortable around moths, when it just disappeared before my eyes I panicked a little bit,” they wrote.
Not having any luck? One user shared some easy-to-follow instructions. “Moth is in lower left quadrant,” they said. “Starting at bottom left corner, go to the right about 25% of picture width and then go up 25% of picture height.”
