Baby monkey Su was full of curiosity and excitement as she approached the mother hen for the first time. With her tiny hands gripping the edge of the chicken coop, Su peered inside, her large, inquisitive eyes taking in the sight of the clucking hen surrounded by her chicks. Su had seen the other animals interacting with each other and wanted to be friends with the hen too.
However, things did not go as planned. As Su reached out a tentative hand, the mother hen puffed up her feathers and let out a loud squawk, startling the little monkey. Su jumped back in fright, her eyes wide with surprise. She hadn’t expected such a fierce reaction. The mother hen was simply protecting her babies, but to Su, it felt like a rejection.
Disheartened, Su scampered back to the safety of her tree, where she watched from a distance, wondering how she could make friends with the other animals without scaring them.
