Once upon a time in a lush, green forest, a family of monkeys lived happily among the tall trees. The youngest member of this family was a baby monkey named Chiku, full of energy and curiosity. Chiku’s mother, though loving and protective, was sometimes a bit too distracted. One sunny afternoon, she was busy gathering fruits, climbing swiftly from branch to branch, with Chiku holding on tightly to her back. She moved with such speed and excitement that she didn’t notice her little one loosening his grip.
As they reached a high branch laden with ripe fruits, Chiku’s mother got distracted by a sound from nearby. For just a moment, her attention drifted. Little Chiku, curious as ever, tried to reach out for a bright, colorful butterfly fluttering past. In that moment, his grip slipped, and before he knew it, he was falling through the air.
Chiku’s mother immediately noticed and screamed out in fear. Her heart raced as she darted downwards, leaping from branch to branch, trying to reach her baby before he hit the ground. Luckily, Chiku landed on a soft bush that cushioned his fall. Though a bit shaken, he was safe and unharmed. Chiku’s mother held him close, filled with relief but also regret for her moment of carelessness. From then on, she resolved to be more mindful, always keeping a watchful eye on her precious little one, understanding that even a moment’s distraction could lead to danger.
